IT Consulting Looks Strong for 2019

If you’re one of the many IT professionals who prefer to work for themselves, be of good cheer. By all accounts, 2019 will be a profitable year for consultants.

According to a recent report issued by Hays, a worldwide recruiting company, 53 percent of IT employers will increase their use of consultants. Top areas for consultancy are cybersecurity and cloud computing.

The Hays report, based on 2,000 companies, also indicated that 68 percent of IT employers will increase their full-time hiring in 2019. And it revealed that a staggering 70 percent of employers say there just aren’t enough IT professionals available to meet their hiring needs. That may be bad news for the HR department, but it signals a great opportunity for consultants.
